I have been a member of, “Find A Grave” for over 9 years. My member number is # 46975713. If I find a buried headstone, I search the Find A Grave site to learn if the person is listed in that cemetery. If their name is there and no headstone photo is attached, I take a picture and upload the image to that person’s memorial. If the person is not listed, I will add the person’s name, birth and death dates, headstone image plus the GPS location of the grave site. It is personally satisfying when I get a message that I found a distant relative. Find A Grave is a great “free” tool for Genealogical Research. I added a link to the website for your convenience.
The Texas Historical Commission defines a cemetery as being "historical" when it is 50 years or older. For additional information about Texas Historical Cemeteries, go to: www.thc.state.tx.us
